HARUMI is a partnership between D.B.E. Gurney, Taiwanese fried chicken, and F&B companies to develop its own fried chicken franchise business here in Malaysia.

D.B.E Gurney Resource Berhad, a Bursa Malaysia listed integrated poultry company that has been working on poultry rearing and breeding business for many years. D.B.E owns feed mill, 6 breeder farms with 18 houses, 100,000 female that hatch about 1 million eggs every month, hatchery that hatch broiler chick, broiler farm with the output of 1 million chicken per month, as well as processing plant. 



What's great and attractive about HARUMI is that it is a halal-certified fried chicken brand. Here in Malaysia, a multiracial country, everyone can enjoy this yummy fried chicken.

How to start?
With only RM3,500 (no additional royalty fee needed), you can start your own franchise business. 
You will be provided with the tools including 1) Fryer, 2) Kiosk, 3) Frying tools, and 4) Packaging materials.  

It is a pretty simply business. HARUMI consists of 4 products:
1. Chicken Chop (RM 6.50),
2. Chicken Wing (RM 2.00),
3. Chicken Pop-Corn (RM4.00), and 
4. Sweet Potato (RM3.00).

D.B.E will be supplying the raw materials in packages, providing technical assistance, valuation of the kiosk location, and advertising and marketing activities. So, you wouldn't need to worry about where to purchase raw materials or how to plan marketing strategies. All you need to do is to fry the food according to the standard operating procedure (S.O.P) set by the company.

The chicken chop is very tasty with crunchy feeling from the outer flour coating. Apparently, it is not as oily as those chicken chop we used to get in pasar malam. So, i would give it a thumb up👍

The  return investment ("ROI") is expected to materialize within a month's duration. Meanwhile, the profit margin is around 40-45%, which means if a kiosk achieves sales of RM300/day x 30 = RM9,000. The profit would be an estimated of RM3600/month.

To date, there are close to 100 kiosks have been set up, with the highest sales per kiosk reaching about RM700/day. The company is targeting to establish up to 3,000 kiosks, 300 mobile trucks, and 30 restaurants nationwide selling HARUMI Fast Food by the year 2018.
