Malaysia's First Image Consultant Star Search

This is my first time to come across the name/job/position/career of image consultant if it is not because of my friend - Lee Yann, who was one of the contestants. I went for her grand final competition to support her =) 

So, what is this Image Consultant Star Search competition about?

It was an event between the collaboration of the Malaysian Association of Brand & Image Consultants (MABIC) and BrandImage International Institute to help participants to discover their inner potential in the professional world of image, etiquette and branding through a series of 5 week challenges. The challenges range from image makeovers to fashion styling to presentation skills that were held at Hotel Capri by Fraswe, Metrojaya Mid Valley, and Benefit Bukit Bintang outlets. In each challenge, industry experts were invited to share tips and techniques on how contestants can complete their tasks to the best of their abilities. The contestants were required to perform the challenges on themselves and their models as well.

The Malaysian Association of Brand & Image Consultants (MABIC) is the first and largest professional association of brand and image consultants in Malaysia.
A non-profit organization, MABIC’s main objectives are:
- To nurture more Malaysians to build their entrepreneurial expertise through the skills of Brand and Image Consulting.
- To serve as a platform for public and media to gain knowledge in Branding and Image.
- To set, maintain and promote professional and ethical standards in Branding and Image.
- To provide seminars, master classes and conferences, for the professional development of all individuals.

Group 1 Final Presentation Contest on the topic of Chanel: 

All contestants were assisted and mentored by consultants from the BrandImage International Institute. I guess the fun part of the competition was that various prizes worth more than RM8,000 were presented for group and individual challenges from respective sponsors, such as Benefit Cosmetics, A-Listers Beauty Salon, Kawon Makeover, and others.
And the first prize of the Grand Finale will walk away with a scholarship worth RM10,000 from the BrandImage International Institute, to complete their full certification in Image Consultancy.
All registered attendees received door gifts at the event worth more than RM 600.

Congratulation to Nini Fariza Mohd Japri, 35, who was awarded as the Grand Winner of the 1st Image Consultant Star Search 2016. In addition to winning the RM10,000 value scholarship from BrandImage International Institute, she will also be the Brand Ambassador for a period of a year and the next Image Consultant Star Search.
